Once again HelioS needs to help out the gamedeveloppers (remember his UT3 64bit fix).
Battlefield Heroes hasn't any XP64 support yet so the lucky people that got a closed beta key and are running XP64 can't even install the game.
So you have the choice, use this fix and enjoy the closed beta, or wait for a fix from the developers, hoping they will come out with one before the regular beta starts.
2. Visit the BFHeroes beta site and push the "Play Now" button.
Once you get the error message that your Windows version ain't supported,
launch Process Explorer.
3. In Process Explorer look for the BFHPatching.exe process.
Rightclick and select Properties
Look for the commandline and copy it
4. Now create a new blank batch file (.bat)
and paste the above copied commandline in.
Then replace the: http://t1.battlefield-heroes.com/patcher/InstallerConfig.xml by http://www.artificialaiming.net/BFHeroes/InstallerConfig.xml and save the batch file.
5. Run the batchfile and the installation should begin.
It may seem once installing that the installer stopped responding,
this is a bug. Be patient till the installation completes.
6. Once the installation completes, browse to your bfheroes folder and
look for the BFHeroes.exe. Create a Shortcut, rightclick and choose
Properties and add following to the target:
LOL only took him 20 minutes to get the game working on X64 lol it was funny as hell. And on a side note. The shortcut bit works well, but when updates are released the game will not update and you need to run the game through the site to let the game update.
