I recently installed a VPN (PIA) and after connecting I tried purchasing a game/s from Origin. The payment process used was via paypal which pulls up an error code (10048) in Origin.

I tried several times and took tons of advice from similar cases from google but nothing worked.

Is it safe to buy the game without the VPN connected (as it works) and then connect the VPN. Or will origin detect the initial IP when the purchase was made?

Second question, how are you guys buying games or where would you recommend to buy keys to use the redeem product code method?
