If you had a paid PlanetSide 1 account then you get a first-wave invite to the PlanetSide 2 beta. Otherwise you just gotta sign up with everyone else and you'll get into the "stress test" phases.

So really it's easy for anyone who played PS1 to get an account. I hope that includes the staff around here.

I love PlanetSide, so part of me hopes SoE has good cheat detection. Doubtful, they fail at everything else.
