Borderlands isn't singleplayer... mfw you get satisfaction from playing the best coop game that exists in singleplayer..

But really, in borderlands there isn't an anti cheat of any sort, nor are saves stored on a server. So, you can just mod your weapons or use any sort of hack you like to achieve your goals. Hopefully BL2 won't be like that, but if it is just do the same.
