Maybe everyone else has better luck than me or something lol.
Yeah. It makes me kinda iffy about how hard they will pursue commercial hacks with VAC, and detection rates.

Buying new copies of COD6 will cost more than replacing your $15 COD4 cd key, PLUS your whole steam account gets screwed if VAC gets you. They could really thwart a lot of commercial cheating with just subbing to the 5 biggest paid cod6 hack sites, getting a hold and vac-proofing the biggest paid hacks, and then I'd be surprised if that does take half of the people that were interested in priv hacking cod6 out of the picture.

I dropped the $60 on the game, and yeah, I'm looking around the different paid hack sites already offering MW2 hacks, and most of them ask around the same price. To think though if VAC does get a hold, it'll be $60 for a new game, + whatever to continue the paid hack sub, plus whatever other games you can't play on vac on that account that you just lost due to being banned.

Yes, we all assume risk when cheating, but with the price increase in COD and the economy crunch, if VAC decided to get aggressive, they could wipe out the priv community pretty bad in this game.

The only huge downside from my point of view is never really knowing detection histories on paid hack sites. Most sites delete bad press / people saying there's been detections, because, well, naturally it hurts sales.
