Battlefield heroes beta just got patched today! ... 03/05/09

It looks like they may release my beta server soon!


General updates

• We increased the level cap to Level 30
• We added Server bookmarks (under Options) (not fully functional yet, stay tuned!)
• We added new tooltips
• “Convenience Items” are now called "Widgets"
• In addition to the existing XP Boost, you can now also buy a VP Boost
• Items you can’t afford should now be coloured red, to make it easier to distinguish them from items you can afford
• We added a popup message to inform you if you try to buy an item you already have
• Inventory items that expired more than two weeks ago should now be filtered out
• Items that are too high level should now be filtered out
• Nationals and Royals now have “Incoming!” emotes
• There should be more tanks spawning at Village and Lighthouse capture points on Seaside Skirmish
• We added a message to let you know if the server of the friend you’re trying to join is full
• ”Hero’s shield” is now called “Hero Shield”
• The End of Round screen should look a bit prettier now

Music & Sound effects

• Troop Trap has a new sound
• We extended the length of repair and heal Ability sounds
• All Gunner Ability Sounds now last longer
• Some sniping sounds now last longer
• We increased the sound duration on Poisoned Blade
• We increased the sound duration on Elixir/Escape
• We added a sound for receiving Valor Points
• We added a sound for receiving Hero Points
• Buccaneer Bay now has loading music

Tweaking & Tuning

• We increased the home base radius in Victory Village and Seaside Skirmish, this should help prevent repeated base annihilation somewhat
• We increased the amount healed on all Bandages

Plane Changes

• We reduced Plane MG damage
• We reduced Plane hit points to 190 (previously 280)
• We increased the range of Plane MGs
• We increased Plane critical hit damage bonus

Tank changes

• Tanks should now do less damage vs. other Tanks
• Explosion “splash” should no longer hurt Tanks
• We increased Tank damage vs. Planes
• We reduced overall Tank damage
• We reduced Tank damage vs. infantry

Weapons and Abilities

• We did some Pistol damage tuning - giving default and slow firing pistols slightly better damage.
• Slow, heavy shotguns should do more damage now
• We reduced Knife critical hit damage
• Grenade spam: Removed proximity explosion
• Grenade spam: Reduced damage and damage growth
• Grenade spam: reduced head shot modifier
• Grenade spam: Reduced plane MG damage VS infantry

FIXES

• Not properly switching back to the previous weapon after using a "fire and switch back to weapon" Ability or explosives should now be fixed
• The Ability reset “transaction error” should now be clearer
• Join a friend should no longer get stuck if it fails
• The "I need a ride" emote should now be available by default
• The appearance tabs should now only show up if they contain goodies. No more empty tabs!
• The Play Button should no longer freeze on the End of Round screen
• Tip of the Day is back!
• The Tutorial should now get marked as “done” when you have completed it
• We fixed a bug with SMG mastery 1 and 2 (Missions)
• We fixed a bug with the Grenade Spam crosshairs not being displayed as a passenger
• Some Game error messages should be clearer now
• When joining a new game the server should now automatically remove expired items and replace them with the default items (if applicable)
• It should no longer be possible to join a server with expired items, irrespective of your system’s time settings.
• Placing a troop trap in front of a ladder could sometimes block access to that ladder. This should now be fixed.
• The National and Royal home bases in Buccaneer Bay should now also have protection against base/spawn camping
